Interim Senior Commercial Manager - Digital Transformation

An established UK public sector organisation is undertaking a major digital transformation programme and requires an experienced Interim Senior Commercial Manager to lead DDaT related commercial activity. You'll join a mature and evolving commercial function that plays a critical role in enabling large-scale technology change across the organisation. This is a hybrid role based in London.Your new role

As the Interim Senior Commercial Manager, you will take full ownership of the end-to-end commercial lifecycle for sourcing, supporting a programme of significant strategic importance.

• Leading ERP-related procurements from strategy development through to contract award and mobilisation
• Delivering compliant tendering processes under PCR 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023
• Managing sourcing activity through CCS frameworks, including Back Office Software 2 (BoS2) and DOS
• Running market engagement, pricing evaluation, supplier clarifications, and commercial negotiations
• Producing procurement strategies, evaluation models, commercial papers, and assurance documentation
• Drafting and refining contractual terms, schedules, and outcome-based service provisions in partnership with Legal
• Providing commercial leadership into the digital transformation programme and supporting governance forums
• Maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders and communicating complex or challenging messages clearly
• Ensuring robust commercial governance, audit trails, and compliant records throughout the lifecycle

What you'll need to succeed

• To excel in this role, you will bring:
• Extensive operational experience leading DDaT procurements within the UK public sector
• Strong knowledge of CCS frameworks, particularly Back Office Software 2 and related digital frameworks
• Proven experience procuring Systems Integrators and ERP implementation services
• Deep understanding of PCR 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023
• Ability to deliver commercial strategies across complex and sensitive stakeholder environments
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Experience supporting major Digital transformation programmes (desirable)
• MCIPS Level 5 or equivalent experience (desirable)
