Your New Role
As Legal Counsel, you will provide legal support across a broad range of commercial matters, with a particular focus on digital products, technology, data protection and privacy. Working as part of a collaborative international legal network, you will partner with business stakeholders to ensure legal compliance, manage risk and support the successful delivery of key strategic projects.
You'll be responsible for:
- Providing commercially focused legal advice on a wide range of business matters, particularly digital and technology-related initiatives
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements and legal documentation
- Advising on data protection, privacy and digital regulatory requirements
- Supporting business teams in the development and implementation of innovative products and solutions
- Monitoring legal and regulatory developments across the UK and EU and advising on associated risks and opportunities
- Acting as a key legal contact within wider international digital, data and privacy networks
- Managing disputes and litigation matters where required
- Supporting major business projects and cross-functional initiatives
- Advising stakeholders on legal risk management and compliance matters
- Maintaining legal know-how resources and monitoring emerging legal developments
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive in England & Wales, with experience advising on commercial contracts, technology, digital and/or data privacy matters
- Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice within a commercial environment
- Experience handling complex legal issues independently and confidently
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills across a variety of stakeholder groups
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience within a regulated sector, healthcare, life sciences, technology or similar industry would be advantageous but is not essential
