Operations Administrator
Your new company
You will be joining a growing international technology business based in Heaton Mersey, Stockport. Due to continued expansion, the company is strengthening its Operations team and creating a new opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience in order fulfilment, logistics and supply chain operations.
Your new role
As Operations Coordinator, you will play an important role in ensuring orders, freight movements and system information remain accurate and up to date.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring inbound and outbound freight movements, identifying delays, revised delivery times or customs issues
- Creating and maintaining Sales Orders and Purchase Orders
- Updating supplier ETAs, stock receipt dates and customer order despatch dates
- Liaising with suppliers, carriers and freight forwarders for updates
- Arranging courier and freight collections
- Preparing shipping documentation and maintaining import and export files
- Keeping internal teams informed through accurate system updates
- Supporting the Warehouse with collections, priorities and expected stock movements
- Escalating delays, customs issues and non-standard shipments where required
What you'll need to succeed
You will be organised, dependable and confident, managing several orders or shipments at once. Strong attention to detail, clear communication skills and a proactive approach are essential.
Previous experience in administration, order processing, customer service, logistics or supply chain would be beneficial, although transferable skills will also be considered. You should be comfortable using Microsoft Office and spreadsheets, with experience of an ERP or order management system advantageous but not essential.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of £25,500 to £27,500 depending on experience, alongside a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week.This is a varied role offering hands-on exposure to international freight, order fulfilment, supplier management, shipping documentation and customs processes. As your knowledge and confidence develop, you will have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility within the Operations team.
