Principle Network Engineer / TDA

Working for one of the UK's leading Telecommunications clients - the role is to work as an IP Network Design Principal / Technical Design Authority (TDA) working on the client's IP Networks working as part of a close knit team of 4 that work on TSA (Telecoms Security Act) compliant designs. There will be times when you must get 'hands on' in the network lab - not too afraid/precious to get a screwdriver out if needed!!The role will involve working on a wide variety of IP networking projects and will include: Maintaining hardware and software to comply with vendor support contracts and internal design policies. Maintaining network capacity to support traffic forecasts. Integration of new services onto the network. Production of design documentation, test cases, and implementation plans to ensure our networks deliver excellent customer experience whilst retaining a focus on cost effectiveness and delivery timescales. Providing support to test and implementation staff. Undertaking type approval work. Supporting service migrations.Candidates will only be considered if they have worked for a major ISP or Telecommunications company and be familiar with the Telecoms Security Act and what it requires to be compliant to this. Cisco Certification (e.g. ideally CCIE but qualified through experience also acceptable) and Juniper Certification (e.g. JNCIE, JNCIP, JNCIS, JNCDS - again qualified through experience acceptable) would be expected. You must have experience working in multi-vendor environments including Nokia / ALU routers and switches. Experienced in the areas of IP, MPLS, BGP, EVPN network design, build and support in a service provider environment is essential. A thorough understanding of IP, BGP, MPLS and associated protocols and features. Hands on experience with Cisco and Juniper Core networking technologies including Cisco CSR/ASR/7600 and Juniper MX/PTX family platforms. Understanding of Telecommunications Transmission Systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required for presenting complex technical concepts. Good experience of Change Control Processes. NetDevOps experience ideal.Only candidates with the right to work in the UK will be considered. Sponsorship is not available. To be considered for this role you must live within a commutable distance of the client's network laboratory based in the M3/M4 corridor as you will need to work in the lab to conduct Proof of Concept Testing and work with other team members collaboratively,
