Your new company

You will join a large-scale technology environment delivering complex projects involving business processes and application solutions. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, senior stakeholders and third-party suppliers to achieve agreed cost, timescale and quality objectives.

Your new role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for defining, documenting and successfully delivering complex technology projects with significant business impact, delivery risks and dependencies.You will adapt your approach according to the needs of each project, selecting from predictive, iterative and agile delivery methods. You will maintain effective project controls and manage scope, budgets, risks, changes, resources and stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and agree project requirements, scope, milestones and acceptance measures with stakeholders.
  • Plan and control projects involving internal and external dependencies.
  • Re-plan and re-baseline projects to maintain agreed outcomes.
  • Manage scope changes, risks, issues and assumptions across multi-stream projects.
  • Maintain effective project governance, testing, configuration and change-control processes.
  • Monitor project resources, costs, revenue, budgets and margins.
  • Take corrective action to minimise adverse cost or delivery variances.
  • Lead multidisciplinary and geographically distributed project teams of up to 20 people.
  • Coordinate internal teams, third parties and subcontractors.
  • Manage change documentation, impact assessments and approval processes.
  • Build productive stakeholder relationships and lead the resolution of potential conflicts.
  • Communicate complex project information clearly to different audiences.
  • Coordinate the handover and formal acceptance of completed project outputs.
  • Use project information and lessons learned to identify opportunities for improvement.


What you'll need to succeed

Essential skills and experience

  • Four to six years' project experience, including successful delivery as a Project Manager or leadership of small to medium-sized projects.
  • Strong project management experience covering planning, governance, risk, issue, scope and change management.
  • Experience managing projects valued between £1 million and £2 million.
  • A proven record of realistic estimation and strong financial awareness.
  • Experience managing project budgets, revenue or cost streams.
  • An understanding of the commercial impact of project decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder-management, customer-facing and communication skills.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing external or third-party dependencies.
  • The ability to adapt your delivery approach as project circumstances change.
  • Eligibility to meet the stated SC clearance requirement.
  • UK citizenship due to the security requirements of the assignment.

Desirable skills and experience

  • Knowledge of eQube, particularly in relation to DAS or application projects.
  • Experience within PLM, ERP, CAD, EAM, engineering or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
    • Siemens Teamcenter
    • PTC Windchill
    • IBM DOORS
    • Cameo
    • SAP
  • An external project management certification.

Previous eQube experience is beneficial but is not essential for this role.
