Project Support Officer

Your new company A local government organisation is on a journey to make its service offering more efficient and effective, with the aim to reduce costs in the long term and aligning with future strategic alliances.

Your new role As a Project Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful migration of suppliers. You will assist the Project Manager in coordinating all aspects of the project, oversee supplier management, prepare and maintain project documentation, and ensure clear communication with stakeholders. Your responsibilities will also include conducting quality assurance activities, organising and scheduling project tasks, monitoring project finances, and managing project issues and risks.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in supplier management
  • Ideally, experience working within local government or the public sector.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Trello).
  • Ability to analyse data and generate reports.
  • Knowledge of supplier management processes and council policies.
