QA Analyst
Your new company Our client is a global leader in supply chain and logistics, operating at the centre of international trade. With a significant presence across multiple continents, the business manages a vast network of ports, terminals and logistics hubs, enabling the smooth movement of goods between markets, industries, and consumers worldwide.
Over recent years, the company has evolved beyond its heritage in ports and maritime operations to become a true end-to-end supply chain partner. Today, it offers integrated solutions across freight forwarding, transport, warehousing, and digital logistics, supporting clients from production through to final delivery.
Your new role Our client is looking to appoint a QA Analyst who can take real ownership of quality across a suite of business-critical systems, at a point where the organisation is evolving its technology landscape. This role will sit at the centre of that journey, balancing the ongoing support and improvement of legacy applications with a shift towards a more modern, Azure-led environment. It will suit someone who is comfortable operating across both worlds and can bring structure and consistency to how quality is delivered.
From day one, you'll be embedded within Agile delivery teams and play a key role in driving end-to-end testing activity. There is a strong focus on automation and performance testing, but this is not a purely automation-led role, hands-on manual testing remains essential to ensure releases are robust and fit for purpose. You'll be involved in everything from shaping test strategy through to execution, covering system, integration, regression and user acceptance testing, while making sure quality standards are maintained throughout the lifecycle.
The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to how QA evolves within the business. There is a growing interest in introducing AI-assisted testing tools and practices, and while experience in this space would be beneficial, it's not a prerequisite. What matters more is a willingness to adopt new approaches and continuously improve how testing is delivered. What you'll need to succeed From an experience perspective, our client is looking to engage an individual who brings a strong and well-rounded QA background, with a clear track record in both automation and hands-on testing. You will have spent a number of years building and working with automation frameworks, using tools such as Selenium, Playwright or Cypress, and be comfortable coding in languages like Java, JavaScript or Python.
Alongside this, you'll have practical experience of integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, with a solid understanding of version control through Git.In addition to automation, there is a real emphasis on performance testing within this role. You'll be confident working with tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling or k6, and understand how to design meaningful performance scenarios, model workloads, and interpret results to provide clear, actionable insights. This isn't just about running tests, it's about understanding system behaviour under load and being able to communicate that effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A strong grounding in manual testing is equally important. You will have extensive experience across user acceptance testing, regression, end-to-end and API testing, as well as working with data at a SQL level where required. The environment is Agile and includes a mix of enterprise and legacy systems, so you'll need to be comfortable adapting your approach depending on the context, while still maintaining a consistent level of quality.
Beyond the core skillset, the client is open to individuals who have started to explore more modern testing approaches. Exposure to AI-assisted testing or GenAI tools would be of interest, particularly where this has been used to enhance test design, automation or defect analysis. Experience with cloud environments such as Azure or AWS, alongside familiarity with BDD frameworks, monitoring tools and basic security testing principles, would also be beneficial, but these are seen as nice-to-haves rather than essential requirements.
What you'll get in return
- The package includes the opportunity to earn an annual bonus of up to 10% of salary, split evenly between overall business performance and the achievement of individual objectives, giving you clear line of sight on how your impact is recognised.
- You'll receive 25 days annual leave as standard, alongside a competitive pension scheme with employer contributions matched up to 6%, providing a solid foundation for longer-term financial planning.
- There is also the reassurance of life assurance cover, along with the option to join a BUPA private medical scheme, giving access to enhanced healthcare when you need it.
- In addition, the business offers Medicash and access to a flexible benefits platform, allowing you to tailor a range of perks and discounts to suit your personal needs and lifestyle
