SC Cleared - Test Analyst

Hays are now looking for an SC Cleared Test Analyst for one of our local clients:

• Up to £350 p/d Inside IR35
• 1-2 days a week onsite, the rest is WFH
• Location is Cardiff
• Must already hold SC Clearance

In the role you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of digital services. Working within an agile, multidisciplinary team, you'll focus on manual and exploratory testing to support user-centred, secure, and high-quality systems.What you'll be doing

• Designing and executing manual test cases from user stories and acceptance criteria
• Carrying out functional, exploratory, and regression testing
• Supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) and release readiness
• Identifying, recording, and tracking defects with clear evidence and impact
• Testing for accessibility, usability, compatibility, and basic security risks
• Collaborating closely with developers, analysts, and delivery managers
• Contributing to test documentation, test plans, and continuous quality improvements

What we're looking for

• Candidates must hold current SC Clearance
• Proven experience in a manual testing or test analyst role
• Strong skills in test design, execution, and exploratory testing
• Experience working in an agile delivery environment
• Ability to clearly communicate defects and risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience supporting UAT or production releases
• Good understanding of accessibility and usability principles
• High attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
