Type: Contract (Inside IR35) Location: Hybrid, with travel to Swindon and London at least once per week

Duration: 3 month rolling contract

Rate: £550 per day (Inside IR35)

Clearance: BPSS Eligable

Role Overview

IBM is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a major integration programme for Nationwide.

This role will play a key part in leading requirements gathering, defining functional designs, and ensuring alignment across multiple business and technical work streams within a complex integration landscape.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with a broad range of stakeholders, identifying and documenting business requirements, and translating these into clear functional specifications.

Given the number of interconnected systems and integration points involved, strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities across complex integration projects.
• Facilitate requirements gathering workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
• Elicit, analyse, challenge, and document business and functional requirements.
• Produce high-quality functional design documentation and process models.
• Act as the liaison between business users, architecture, development, testing, and delivery teams.
• Manage stakeholder expectations across multiple teams and work streams.
• Ensure alignment of requirements across numerous integration points and dependent systems.
• Support solution design discussions and provide business analysis expertise throughout the project life cycle.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps within business processes and integration requirements.
• Contribute to project governance, planning, and delivery activities as required.

Required Skills & Experience

• Significant experience working as a Senior Business Analyst on large-scale technology and integration projects.
• Proven ability to lead requirements gathering and functional design activities.
• Strong understanding of system integration methodologies and complex enterprise environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders across business and technical teams.
• Strong documentation skills, including business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
• Ability to work independently and drive workshops and discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Experience operating within agile and/or hybrid delivery environments.

Preferred

• Financial Services experience, ideally within banking, building societies, or regulated environments.
• Previous experience delivering integration-focused programmes.
• Experience working with large enterprise organisations and complex technology landscapes.
