Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Your new company Looking to step into a Senior Role A rapidly growing engineering consultancy is expanding its specialist Data Centre team and is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer who is ready to take the step up into a Senior role. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with data centre or mission-critical experience to accelerate their career within a structured, supportive environment.You'll be joining a team delivering high-resilience, high-performance electrical systems for UK and international data centre projects-ranging from hyperscale developments to complex refurbishment schemes.Your new role You will be responsible for:

• Producing detailed electrical design for data centres and mission-critical facilities
• Working on resilient LV/HV power systems, UPS, generators, redundancy strategies (N+1, N+N), and containment
• Supporting senior engineers in project delivery, client interaction, and technical reports
• Coordinating with mechanical, structural, and specialist mission-critical teams
• Attending design reviews, workshops, and client meetings
• Taking ownership of work packages with a clear progression path to full Senior responsibilities

What you'll need to succeed

• Data centre or mission-critical experience is essential (UPS, LV/HV, cooling interface, resilience)
• Strong electrical building services design background
• Understanding of Tier standards, Uptime Institute principles, or similar
• Proficiency with design tools such as Amtech/Trimble, AutoCAD, Revit (desirable)
• Strong communication skills with an interest in stepping up to client-facing work
• Working toward chartership or keen to progress professionally
