Senior Java

Join a leading UK banking and technology services provider as a Senior Java Developer.

Location: Glasgow (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)

Rate: £320/day (Outside IR35)

Duration: July 2026 - December 2026

Overview Seeking a Senior Java Developer (10+ years) with strong experience in building scalable web applications using Spring Boot, REST APIs, and JEE technologies, combined with solid front-end skills in JavaScript and React. You'll work in Agile teams, contribute to client-facing solutions, and ensure accessibility best practices.

Key Skills & Experience

Core (Essential)

• Java 8/7, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, REST APIs
• JEE stack: JSF, JPA, JSP, Servlets, JDBC
• Front-end: JavaScript, ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS
• XML technologies (DOM, SAX, XSLT)
• Accessibility tools: NVDA, WAVE, Accessibility Insights

Tools & Technologies

• IntelliJ IDEA
• Jenkins, Maven, JIRA
• Git / Subversion

Leadership & Delivery

• Experience leading or mentoring developers
• Strong Agile (SCRUM) experience
• Comfortable working with cross-functional teams (Product, BA, QA)
• Client-facing delivery experience
