Senior Service Designer
Contract: 5-month contract (covering a secondment) Working Pattern: Hybrid - average 2 days per week on-site, occasionally 3 days
Hays is working in partnership with a local council to recruit an experienced Senior Service Designer to support the Digital Project Team. This role will focus primarily on business-as-usual (BAU) digital projects, helping to design and improve digital services and products.
The Role
You will be working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary Agile team, alongside a Business Analyst and a User Experience Designer, contributing to the design and delivery of high-quality digital services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and improve digital services and products in line with user needs
- Support BAU digital projects across the council
- Work effectively within an Agile delivery environment
- Collaborate with colleagues across digital and non-digital teams
- Engage and communicate with stakeholders at various levels within Birmingham City Council
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Service Designer, ideally at a senior level
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Experience working in Agile teams
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
- Local Government experience is desirable, but not essential.
