Strategic Account Manager (Hybrid/Amazing OTE!)
Our client, an incredibly well-established Digital News & Intelligence platform focused within Financial Services, are looking to recruit a hungry, driven Account Manager to inherit (and grow!) an existing book of loyal B2B clients. Working on a hybrid basis (2 days in the Central London HQ with 3 days working from home) and offering an absolutely incredible OTE, this is an amazing opportunity for the right candidate!Our client have been established for over 25 years and are very much the 'go-to' intelligence provider within their designated market. As a business, they aim to help their clients seize new business opportunities/avoid potential risks by providing breaking news/analysis/actionable insights. Due to their sustained growth, they are now actively seeking (potentially two!) Account Managers to join their fun, sociable team. In a nutshell, your responsibilities will include:- Retaining and growing subscription revenue across the company's most valuable client portfolio- Acting as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders within key accounts - protecting recurring revenues, driving engagement, and identifying expansion opportunities - Owning the full renewal lifecycle across an assigned book of business, maintaining a 90-day pipeline and ensuring no contract reaches renewal without a clear plan- Building multi-threaded stakeholder relationships across key accounts, mapping decision-makers, budget owners, and day-to-day champions- Identifying and executing expansion opportunities - additional licences, cross-sell into new product lines, and upsell into higher-tier subscriptions- Running structured discovery conversations to uncover evolving client needs and tailor value propositions - Leading renewal and expansion negotiations, anchoring on value and holding price under pressure while preserving the client relationship- Maintaining accurate 30/60/90-day commercial forecasts and CRM records; providing regular pipeline and account health updates to the management team- Developing and delivering onboarding and engagement plans for new stakeholders within key accounts- Acting as voice of the customer internally - feeding insight back to Editorial, Product, and Marketing to shape offeringsIn order to be considered for this position, it is ESSENTIAL that you have the following:- Proven track record in B2B account management, client success, or subscription sales (professional services, media, or SaaS preferred)- Experience managing a multi-million pound book with demonstrable renewal and expansion results- Commercially driven; skilled in value-based negotiation with C-suite and Director-level stakeholders- Excellent written and verbal communication to a senior executive standard- Structured and organised with strong CRM discipline; familiarity with a sales methodology - Genuine desire to earn fantastic money/drive to earn additional commission- Fun, sociable personality!In addition to a very competitive basic salary, our client are also offering the following:- Incredibly generous commission scheme - 'double OTE' (ie: £45,000 basic = £90,000 OTE)- Commission paid monthly - Hybrid-working basis (2 days in the office / 3 days working from home)- Amazing progression opportunities- Private healthcare- 25 days' holiday (+ Bank Holidays)Our client are looking to move incredibly quickly on this, so any interested candidate(s) are urged to apply at their earliest convenience!
