Technician 1
Join a leading independent technology and services provider as a Site-Based Installation Technician! Job Overview: A hands-on role supporting on-site desktop hardware installation, including setting up devices, peripherals, and completing initial system checks. You will follow established installation procedures, update system records, and ensure smooth deployment of IT equipment across the site.
- Location: On-site - BT, 2 Greenmarket Street, Dundee, DD1 4QB
- Daily Rate: £13.66 per hour (PAYE) or £17.73 per hour (Umbrella)
- Contract Length: 30 March 2026 - 31 March 2027
- Start Date: 30 March 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Unbox and install desktop hardware and peripherals at designated desks
- Connect and secure power, network cables, and associated components
- Perform basic power-on self-tests to ensure functionality
- Initiate automated device builds as required
- Complete simple scripted post-login configurations
- Update system records accurately in ServiceNow
- Follow installation procedures, scripts, and site policies consistently
Key Requirements:
- Basic technical skills relating to desktop hardware installation
- Ability to follow procedures and adhere to structured processes
- Experience updating system records (ServiceNow preferred)
- Flexibility around shift patterns when required
- Full, valid UK driving licence (mandatory)
