Join a leading independent technology and services provider as an IT Support Technician!

Job Overview: Provide onsite Technical Support within a Wintel environment, delivering deskside support, hardware break-fix, stock management, device builds, and troubleshooting for laptops, desktops, and mobile devices. The role requires strong customer service skills, the ability to work independently, and eligibility for SC Clearance.

Location: Bristol BS34 7QS

Contract: 17 Aug - 31 Dec 2026

Pay Rate: An hourly rate, in-scope IR35, of £14.90 PAYE) OR £19.34 per hour (via a Hays approved umbrella company).

Hours: 37.5 hours a week. Monday-Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• SC Clearance (Mandatory)
• Work as part of an on-site Technical Support team.
• Follow a rotating shift pattern between 08:00 AM and 06:00 PM (7.5-hour working day).
• Provide deskside support in a Windows (Wintel) environment.
• Manage and maintain on-site IT stock and inventory.
• Build, configure, and repair laptops and desktop devices following training.
• Deliver break-fix support for HP laptops and desktop hardware.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests.
• Support Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office applications.
• Provide support for Skype and mobile technologies.
• Support Apple and Android devices.
• Build, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop systems.
• Develop strong working relationships with colleagues, support teams, and business partners.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and use initiative when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of customer experience and service delivery.
• Create and maintain knowledge base articles and technical documentation.
• Ensure excellent customer service and timely issue resolution.
• Must hold SC Clearance or be eligible to obtain SC Clearance.
