Join a leading independent technology and services provider as a Technician 3.Job Overview: Seeking an on-site IT support resource to assist with laptop deployments. The role involves configuring devices, updating asset records, and supporting users during setup.

• Location: Derby
• Contract: 5th May'26 - 30th Oct'26
• Mandatory check: SC Clearance
• Pay Rates:
• Umbrella Rate: £25.75/hour (via a Hays approved umbrella company).
• PAYE Basic Rate: £19.85/hour
• Hours: 37.5 hours a week. Monday - Friday.
• Time: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Required for Windows 11 rollout, will be required to build, deploy and decommission devices.
• Build new Windows 11 devices using standardised images and task sequences
• Enrol devices into Microsoft Intune / Autopilot (or SCCM where applicable)
• Install core applications (Microsoft 365 Apps, VPN, security tools, line-of-business apps)
• Deploy Windows 11 devices to end users in line with rollout schedule
• Decommission legacy Windows 10 devices in line with IT policies
• Backup, restoration, and migration of user data
• Securely wipe data using approved tools and methods
• Remove devices from Azure AD / Intune / CMDB systems
• Manage laptop and device handover to multiple users and sites
• IT equipment Install/Move/Add/Change and Disposal (data wipe and end of life support)
• Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to resolve complex issues
• Update asset registers and deployment tracking sheets
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be SC cleared
