About the roleAs Technician 3 with expertise in device migration, we are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Migration Support Technicians to assist with the on-site deployment of Windows 11 devices. This role is critical to the success of a large-scale refresh initiative and involves hands-on support in device setup, user handover, and inventory management. You will work under the direction of the Contractor Engineer and Site Manager to ensure smooth and efficient migration processes.Tell me more, tell me more...Our client is currently looking for a recruit to join their current team. Below are the job details for your reference:You can also ask our friendly recruitment team any questions you may have about the role, between 09.00am till 17.00pm Monday to Friday.Shifts:Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)Roles and Responsibilities:Migration Setup & Clinic Operations

• Set up the Refresh Clinic environment for daily migration activities
• Move designated devices from on-site storage to the Refresh Clinic as instructed
• Log in to systems using contractor-provided devices under supervision

Device Refresh & User Handover

• Refresh laptops according to project standards and instructions
• Collect existing devices from users and distribute new Windows 11 devices
• Ensure accurate handover and collection of devices per the migration schedule
• Label returned devices for disposal or refurbishment based on designation rules
• Package returned devices using the original packaging of the new devices

Workflow & Issue Management

• Update the contractor's workflow management system at each relevant step
• Promptly report any issues to the Contractor Engineer and Site Manager
• Escalate unresolved issues to the Post-Migration Support Engineer

Inventory & End-of-Day Duties

• Conduct daily manual stock checks and report findings
• At the end of each day, they move all devices and equipment back to on-site storage.

Other stuff we're potentially looking for:

• Experience in IT hardware handling, device refresh, or migration projects
• Basic understanding of Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11)
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to follow structured processes and instructions precisely
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, on-site environments

• A per hour, in-scope IR35, of £19.38/hr (PAYE) OR £25.15/hr (via a Hays Approved Umbrella Company).
