Join a leading independent technology and services provider as an IT Support Engineer!

Job Overview: We are seeking a user-focused Lead Engineer to provide on-site and virtual support during the transition from Zoom to Microsoft Teams. This role will act as a visible, approachable point of contact, helping users adopt Microsoft Teams confidently while ensuring meeting rooms and collaboration technology run smoothly.

• Location: London EC2M 4AA
• Daily Rate: £19.85 per hour (PAYE) OR £25.75 per hour (via a Hays approved umbrella company)
• Contract Length: 5 weeks
• Start Date: Paid online induction on 28th or 29th May; on-site work starts 1st June

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-the-spot and virtual support to users during the transition to Microsoft Teams
• Assist users with starting/joining meetings, screen sharing, adding participants, and using room controls
• Troubleshoot common issues such as audio, camera, login, and connectivity problems
• Diagnose and resolve meeting room hardware issues, including faulty cables, touch panels, and room systems
• Deliver proactive floor support during peak meeting times and before high-priority meetings
• Educate users on team's best practices and meeting room functionality
• Support executive and large hybrid meetings, remaining on standby when required

Key Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams features and functionality
• Familiarity with Zoom to support and explain migration differences
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to guide non-technical users confidently
• Experience providing desk-side, floor-walking, or on-the-spot IT support
• Comfortable engaging with users both in person and remotely
• Friendly, patient, and proactive approach to user support and technology adoption

• Interview Process: Single-stage interview via MS Teams.
