Telephony Field Engineer

Your new role
Installation & Setup : Install, configure, and test new hardware, software, or machinery on sites around the UK

• 8x8 VoIP will be rolled out across all of sites,
• Uninterruptable Power Supplies will be installed across all sites to ensure that there is continuity of Voice & IP services in the event of a power loss,
• Removal of old PBX equipment and handsets for WEE disposal,
• Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot complex technical issues, from mechanical breakdowns to network failures,

• Collaborate with project teams to resolve technical issues and ensure project goals are met,
• Support: Provide on-site training and guidance to users,
• Documentation & Reporting: Create detailed reports on site conditions, assist with planning, project progress and resolved issues,
• Undertake any duties allocated by the Service Desk Manager to support the organisation including installation of new equipment, configuration changes and replacement of faulty equipment.

What you'll need to succeed
Knowledge of telephone systems (PBX & VOIP) - 8x8 solution
Understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, Switches, VPN etc)
Strong knowledge of managing IP network equipment including the deployment of campus WiFi solutions
A deep understanding of specific engineering fields, such as IT, electrical, or mechanical systems
Experience working with Azure Data Services or Azure Data Factory
Experience managing Active Directory

The role is inside IR35 and fully expenses.
