Your new role Our client is seeking a DV Cleared Cisco Voice & Video Collaboration Specialist to join a high-performing secure technology design practice supporting complex and mission-critical environments. Working closely with stakeholders across business, technology, operations and security functions, you will play a key role in designing and delivering end-to-end Unified Communication and Collaboration (UCC) solutions that align with both operational requirements and stringent security standards.

This is a hands-on design-focused position where you will capture and interpret technical requirements, translating them into robust Cisco-based voice, video and collaboration solutions. You will be responsible for driving technical direction, producing detailed solution designs, managing design governance activities and ensuring successful integration across complex technology landscapes.The role offers exposure to a wide variety of highly secure and technically challenging projects, requiring collaboration with architects, engineers, business analysts and third-party technology partners. You will also support migration planning, impact assessments, service improvements, complex troubleshooting activities and contribute to strategic bids and customer engagements.

Alongside your technical expertise, you will be expected to provide technical leadership, influence solution strategy, mentor colleagues and champion best practice across the design function. What you'll need to succeed We are keen to speak with experienced Unified Communications & Collaboration professionals who have a strong background in designing, delivering and supporting complex Cisco-based voice and video collaboration environments. The successful candidate will have experience operating within highly secure environments, translating business requirements into technical solutions and providing design expertise across large-scale enterprise communications platforms.

Key experience includes:

  • Eligibility to obtain UKSV Developed Vetting (DV) Clearance (current DV Clearance highly desirable).
  • Extensive experience with on-premise and cloud-based Unified Communications and Collaboration technologies.
  • Strong technical expertise across Cisco Voice, Video and Collaboration solutions.
  • Proven experience designing, configuring, testing and commissioning complex UCC environments.
  • Experience with enterprise telephony technologies including PBX, VoIP/IPT and SIP-based solutions.
  • Knowledge of video conferencing platforms, enterprise mobility solutions and cloud communications services.
  • Understanding of vendor technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Ericsson, F5 and Palo Alto.
  • Experience producing detailed technical designs, migration plans, impact assessments and solution documentation.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of risk management, troubleshooting and root cause analysis within critical communications environments.

Desirable experience:

  • Current DV Clearance.
  • Cisco certifications such as CCNP Collaboration / Voice & Video.
  • Experience with Ribbon SBC, VMware EUC technologies or other Unified Communications platforms.
  • Experience working within Defence, Government or other highly secure environments.
  • Knowledge of MoD security frameworks, Secure by Design (SbD) principles and compliance-led solution delivery.
  • Commercial awareness, including the ability to balance technical requirements with CAPEX/OPEX considerations.
