Windows Engineer - Windows Server/VMware/Azure

A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy are looking for an experienced Windows Engineer to support and develop the customer's hybrid on-prem and cloud environment.

6-month contract

Based in Warrington (Hybrid/ onsite first 3 weeks)

Inside IR35

Experience Required

Manage Windows Server, VMware, and Azure infrastructure, contributing to service improvements and documentation.

Installing and configuring servers, providing support for infrastructure projects, and diagnosing complex issues.

To assist in building some environments in Azure Local (based on HyperV) and also on VMware

Building VMs in both hypervisor environments

Experience with Windows Server, and cloud technologies while possessing strong organizational and communication skills.

Extensive experience in VMware management, Azure technologies, Windows Server and EntraID, contributing to a busy and collaborative team environment.

Good knowledge of lifecycle management, platform hardening and patch management

Experience in identifying, assessing, and remediating critical vulnerabilities across Azure Local (HyperV), vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter

Flexibility to do Windows support out of hours
