Your new role
As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and optimisation of the company's enterprise data platform. Working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party partners, you will help transform raw data into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integrations.
  • Building and maintaining data warehouse solutions and data repositories.
  • Developing robust data models, including fact and dimension tables for reporting and analytics.
  • Managing data quality, governance, lineage, and security across the data estate.
  • Creating and enhancing reporting and business intelligence solutions, including Power BI.
  • Supporting cloud-based data environments across Azure and AWS.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Contributing to the ongoing evolution of the organisation's data strategy and architecture.
  • Supporting platform migrations and continuous improvement initiatives.


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • At least 5 years' experience in a Data Engineering or similar data-focused role.
  • Strong SQL skills, including T-SQL and exposure to relational database technologies.
  • Proven ETL experience, with SSIS being essential.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, warehousing concepts, and dimensional modelling.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS.
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery environments and the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Experience designing and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Any experience with Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, DevOps, data migration projects, or financial services environments would be highly advantageous.
