Data Migration Test Analyst

Your new role
As a Data Migration Test Analyst, you will play a key role in assuring the quality, accuracy, and completeness of data migration activities across a complex transformation programme. You will be responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive test strategy across data migration, integration, regression, and UAT. This will include validating end-to-end ETL processes, reconciling data, and ensuring that all migration activities meet both business and regulatory requirements. You will work across multiple migration cycles, executing detailed test scenarios, supporting dress rehearsals, and validating cutover readiness. Alongside this, you will manage the full defect lifecycle, provide clear and structured reporting, and support go/no-go decision-making through formal test outcome assessments. This is a hands-on role, working closely with delivery, data, and business stakeholders to ensure a smooth and controlled transition to the new platform.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in data migration testing within large scale transformation programmes
- Strong understanding of ETL processes, data reconciliation, and data quality validation
- Experience defining and delivering test strategies across migration, integration, regression, and UAT
- Background working within regulated environments, ideally financial services or banking
- Experience managing test data, including synthetic and edge case scenario creation
- Strong capability in defect management and triage, working across multiple stakeholders
- Experience supporting migration rehearsals, cutover planning, and operational readiness
- Ability to produce clear test reporting, metrics, and readiness assessments for senior stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to escalate risks and provide clear recommendations
