You will be joining a major programme within the Energy & Utilities sector, supporting the delivery of complex technology and service contracts within a highly regulated and governance-driven environment.

Your new role
As a Delivery Contracts Manager - Risk & Compliance, you will lead contractual governance, commercial risk management and compliance activities across a complex technology delivery landscape.

You will work closely with programme, delivery, commercial, legal and operational teams to ensure contractual obligations are met, risks are managed effectively, and governance requirements are maintained.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of complex technology and IT service contracts.
  • Lead contractual governance across Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs) and multi-schedule contract structures.
  • Draft, negotiate, review and manage contractual amendments, variations and change requests.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate commercial, legal and delivery risks.
  • Ensure contractual obligations are clearly understood by technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Manage contractual escalations, disputes and issue resolution activities.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support audit readiness through effective records management and compliance controls.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement regulations, governance frameworks and organisational policies.
  • Provide oversight across subcontractors and supply chain partners where applicable.
  • Drive continuous improvement in contract management processes, governance practices and supporting tools.


Essential skills and experience

  • 10+ years' experience managing contracts within complex technology or IT service delivery environments.
  • Proven experience managing:
    • Master Services Agreements (MSAs)
    • Statements of Work (SOWs)
    • Multi-schedule contract structures
  • Strong experience drafting, negotiating and managing contractual amendments and change requests.
  • Commercial risk identification, assessment and mitigation expertise.
  • Experience supporting regulated or quasi-public sector organisations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across business, technical, commercial and client-facing teams.
  • Ability to translate contractual obligations into practical delivery requirements.
  • Experience of escalation management and contractual dispute resolution.
  • Understanding of:
    • Public sector procurement processes
    • Governance frameworks
    • Audit requirements
    • Records management practices
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.

Desirable skills and experience

  • Experience within the Energy & Utilities sector.
  • Public sector or government contracting experience.
  • Knowledge of Energy Code guidance and regulatory frameworks.
  • Understanding of cloud services contracting and system integration engagements.
  • Familiarity with open-source software licencing.
  • Experience managing subcontractor and supply chain agreements.
  • PMO or Project Management background.
  • Experience working within highly governed and heavily scrutinised delivery environments.
  • Knowledge of contract management platforms, workflow automation solutions and digital governance tools.
  • Awareness of Responsible AI, AI ethics and AI-related contractual considerations.
  • Strong diplomatic and consultative relationship management skills.
