FinOps Analyst

Hays are now looking for a FinOps Specialist for one of our local clients.

- 12 Month contract

- Outside IR35 (circa £550 p/d)

- Hybrid, 3 days a week in the office in Swindon

In the role

• Using Cloud native and 3rd party cost management tools to drive cost optimisations across our clients' Cloud estate (Azure and some AWS).
• Utilising expert knowledge to deliver cloud cost optimization strategies.
• Building, maintaining, improving custom reports / dashboards to deliver cost reporting.
• Working with Cloud Engineering & Cloud Platform teams to implement cost optimization recommendations.
• Defining & implementing a new FinOps governance framework, and roadmap of FinOps activity to optimise Cloud spend.

Your profile

• Strong experience in Cloud FinOps / Cloud spend optimization (Azure).
• A strong understanding of Azure compute technologies.
• Knowledge and understanding of Public Cloud pricing schemes and Services.
• Ability to manage and execute commitment-based savings plans / Reserved instances for AWS and Azure.
• Experience of Cloud cost management tooling and strong native tooling skills are essential.
• Demonstrable experience of building dashboards.
• Clear, effective written and oral communication.
