Network Design Engineer
My client is seekingan experienced Network Design Engineer to support a major FX trading platformprogramme. The role will focus on the design, implementation and enhancement ofcomplex, low-latency network infrastructure within a large-scale financial marketsenvironment.
£700 per day (InsideIR35)
London (Hybrid, 3days per week)
12 Month Contract
Key Requirements
- Demonstrableexperience in a Network Design Engineer, Network Architect or Senior NetworkEngineer role
- Strong enterprisenetwork design and implementation experience within large-scale environments
- Deep understandingof routing and switching technologies
- Proven experiencedesigning and supporting multicast network environments
- Strong firewallexpertise across Fortinet, Palo Alto and/or Check Point
- Extensive F5 LoadBalancer experience
- Experience workingwith NAT technologies, including source NAT and destination NAT
- Previous experiencedelivering network solutions within financial services, trading, capitalmarkets or other low-latency environments
- Experience producingand reviewing detailed network designs and technical documentation
- Ability to engageeffectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels
- Strong understandingof network security best practices
Nice to Have
- Cisco Fabric (ACI)
- Juniper and/or Arista
- CCIE certification
- Firewall migrationprogrammes
- Data centretransformation or network modernisation experience
- Trading platform experience
- Immediatelyavailable or able to start at short notice
