Project Manager - SC Clear
Your new company You will be joining Atos to support the delivery of medium to complex projects involving multidisciplinary teams, multiple workstreams, third parties and subcontractors.
Your new role As a Project Manager, you will be accountable for defining, planning, governing and successfully delivering medium to complex projects. You will manage delivery against agreed scope, cost, timescales, quality and risk parameters, selecting predictive, iterative or agile delivery methods as appropriate.
You will lead multidisciplinary teams of up to 30 Atos resources and work closely with customers, senior stakeholders, suppliers, third parties and subcontractors. The role covers the full project lifecycle, including project controls, financial management, change control, risk mitigation, customer acceptance and service transition.
Key responsibilities
- Define and validate project objectives, requirements, scope, acceptance criteria, milestones, dependencies and intended outcomes with relevant stakeholders.
- Develop, control and re-baseline project plans, adapting the delivery approach when priorities change and focusing on the achievement of business benefits.
- Lead medium-sized, multidisciplinary teams of up to 30 resources, including third parties and subcontractors.
- Provide clear direction, coaching and mentoring while creating an inclusive and high-performing project environment.
- Apply appropriate project standards, methodologies, tools and processes across multiple technologies and workstreams.
- Maintain project governance, controls, reporting, configuration management and effective decision-making throughout the lifecycle.
- Proactively manage risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies, implementing and monitoring corrective actions.
- Control project changes through documented impact assessments covering scope, cost, schedule, quality, resources, risk and benefits.
- Manage budgets, accruals, forecasts, revenue, costs and margin performance, maintaining robust financial control.
- Assess the commercial impact of decisions and changes, supporting profitability and contractual compliance.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, resolve conflicts, support timely decisions and maintain alignment across customers, suppliers and delivery teams.
- Oversee testing, customer acceptance, project closure, service transition and operational handover.
- Use project performance data, lessons learned and customer feedback to improve delivery effectiveness and service quality.
What you'll need to succeed Essential skills and experience
- Between six and ten years of project management experience, or successful experience operating at Senior Project Manager level.
- A proven track record of delivering medium-sized projects valued between £2 million and £5 million.
- Experience managing several workstreams, diverse technologies and external dependencies.
- Strong project planning, governance and project control capabilities.
- Demonstrable experience of financial management, including budgets, costs, forecasting, accruals, revenue and margin performance.
- Strong risk, issue and change-control experience.
- Effective stakeholder management, customer-facing and supplier-management skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation, leadership, estimation, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- The adaptability to work within changing customer and business environments.
- Willingness to travel and support assignments across different locations.
Desirable skills and experience
- A relevant project management certification would be advantageous, although no mandatory formal qualification has been specified.
