About the organisation

Our client is an independent regulatory body in the UK responsible for ensuring the financial markets work well for the consumers and the economy, promoting market integrity and effective competition.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Leading the data design of solutions for large projects and programs to translate high-level business requirements into data models and appropriate metadata, test data and data quality standards
  • Communicating, improving and implementing key principles, methods and models that describe the enterprise's future state in relation to data
  • Contributing to the enterprise data framework, maintaining expertise in industry innovation to improve maturity of the organisation's approach to data architecture
  • Leading contributions to the relevant communities of practice, providing thought leadership, coaching and mentoring of other employees to build the overall business, technical and Data Architecture capability within Strategy & Architecture

Skills:

Minimum:

  • Prior experience of conceptual, logical and physical data modelling in a complex environment
  • Proven experience in data modelling (3NF, Snowflake, DV2, star)
  • Demonstratable experience in data modelling and architecture defining standards, best practices and architecture guidelines

Essential:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to effectively managing senior stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to create data dictionaries and taxonomies, developing best practices and governance for dictionary maintenance
  • An understanding of the financial regulation domain
