• Security Clearance: Candidates must be willing to undergo SC Clearance
• Rate: 14.24 pounds per hour via Paye, 18.50 pounds per hour via umbrella ltd.

Role Summary

The Technical Operative 1 will join the Configuration Department, supporting IT configuration and deployment activities. The role requires a hands-on approach to software installation, system building, and data management, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, communication, and adherence to process.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform software installations and configurations within existing infrastructure
• Build systems using predefined scripts (training provided; strict compliance required)
• Operate bespoke and in-house systems (training provided)
• Input and manage data using spreadsheets (25-50% of role)
• Consolidate consignments for distribution
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team leads regarding progress and issues
• Handle pallet movement and contribute to work planning
• Meet performance targets and service level agreements
• Box and unbox IT equipment as part of configuration and dispatch processes

Candidate Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Background in IT or technical operations
• Proven experience in manual data entry and spreadsheet management
• Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing demands
• Team-oriented with a proactive approach
• Familiarity with IT components and hardware
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Capable of working to deadlines and performance targets
