Senior Product Designer
About the role
As a Sr Product Designer with expertise in Retails, you will collaborate with our client’s Web Experience team. You will be responsible to lead end-to-end design initiatives and deliver high-impact, user-centric web solutions.

Shifts: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)
Roles and Responsibilities:
User Research:
- Preparing research plans, hypotheses/opportunity framing, assumptions mapping.
- Can support and run unmoderated/moderated studies with autonomy.
- Ability to effectively synthesise findings from research/data, to drive product decisions and iterations.
- Able to articulate rationale for UX decisions, based on best-practice, research/data avail, experience.
- Strong ability to wireframe and rapid prototype at pace, to explore many suitable options to test.
- Appreciates the need to balance customer, business, and delivery needs in a pragmatic way.
UI Design:
- Create high-quality user interface designs using Figma, adhering to established design systems and tokens.
- Work closely with product owners, UX designers and researchers, and developers to deliver thoughtful, consistent, and implementable UI designs.
- Ensure visual consistency and cohesion across multiple products and teams.
- Collaborate across squads to identify and resolve inconsistencies in UI patterns and implementation.
- Maintain and contribute to the evolution of the design system, ensuring scalability and usability.
- Good understanding of WCAG accessibility standards.
- Translate complex requirements and flows into clear, intuitive, and accessible UI patterns.
- Champion detail-oriented design, pushing for pixel-perfect execution and alignment with brand guidelines.
Other stuff we’re potentially looking for:
- 10+ years experience (with experience designing for Web products).
- A holistic thinker who's able to consider the bigger picture and wider impact of their decisions.
- Able to work in ambiguity (lack of formed design system and defined processes depending on stage).
- Can work at pace, leaning into unknowns by ‘doing’ - making quick decisions to make better ones.
- Appreciates the benefits of diverging and considering many options before converging on a top few.
- Pro-activity and leadership, suggesting ways forward to the Product managers and Product Owners as the design specialist.
- Strong ability to work with many stakeholders to get business input, and contribute to the roadmap.
- Open to feedback/suggestions and can iterate and factor new findings/data/constraints into work.
- Collaborative nature - encourages and invites ideas and contributions from product and dev team.
- Experience with e-commerce and retail product design highly desirable.
Tools:
Figma, Storybook, Hotjar, UserTesting, Online white-boarding tools (Figjam / MURAL / Miro etc)
What’s in it for you? –

- This is 6 months contract.
- A daily rate, in-scope IR35, of £ 400-550(PAYE) OR £500-700.00 (via a Hays Approved Umbrella Company).
- This role provides a hybrid working(2 days a week) access in Waterside, London
