Azure Automation Engineer (Edinburgh or Leeds - Hybrid)

Head Resourcing is pleased to be working with one of the leading retail banks in the UK who are looking for an experienced Azure Automation Engineer to join their team within the Infrastructure Engineering team, located in Leeds or Edinburgh. In this role, you will develop, test, and maintain virtualization solutions across our organisation.

Technical Skills:

Infrastructure and Virtual Desktop:

• Proven experience in AVD engineering within a commercial environment, with certifications up to AZ104 and AZ140.
• Expertise in AVD architecture, deployment options, management tools, and security best practices.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure & Configuration as Code using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Experience in building and deploying secure AVD environments through CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of image development and management using Packer or Azure Image Builder.
• Skills in using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics for proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of Infrastructure as Code based AVD environments.

Automation and Programming:

• Proficiency with automation tools such as Logic Apps, Functions, Azure Automation, and Event Grid.
• Knowledge of scripting and programming languages like PowerShell, KQL, and YAML for automating AVD-related tasks.
