Data Analyst 18 Month Fixed Term Contract (Glasgow, Hybrid 2 days per week)

Head Resourcing is pleased to be working with one of the UK's leading pensions and mutual funds companies, seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join their team in Glasgow. This role will be part of a newly established Data Analytics team within the Actuarial function, focusing on collecting, processing, and analyzing data to provide insights and support strategic decision-making. You will work with datasets, identify trends, and present findings to key stakeholders.

This position will be seconded to the Commercial function, working full time with the Head of Commercial Pricing and Analysis to define metrics and develop dashboards that will enable the Commercial function to:

• Drive growth across acquisition, retention, and profitability objectives.
• Report on progress against growth goals to other functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Collection and Integration:
• Focus on sales data (acquisition and retention) and profitability indicators for own brand and partnership products (savings, investments, pensions, life insurance).
• Data Analysis:
• Use statistical methods and tools to analyze datasets.
• Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in commercial data.
• Reporting and Visualization:
• Prepare and present clear, concise reports and visualizations of data findings.
• Commercial Strategy Support:
• Collaborate with the wider Commercial team to understand goals and challenges.
• Use data to support pricing strategies, market segmentation, acquisition and retention performance, and product performance.
• Continuous Monitoring and Improvement:
• Monitor KPIs and provide regular updates on commercial performance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in data management and analysis.
• Data Governance and Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a data analyst, ideally in a commercial or business sector.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
