Data & Integration Engineer
Role Overview We're looking for a Data & Integration Engineer to help design, build, and maintain interoperability solutions across our healthcare systems. You'll be ensuring seamless data exchange between EHR platforms, third-party applications, and internal systems utilising proven healthcare technology stacks and coding in languages like Python.
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain HL7 FHIR and HL7 v2 integrations. Configure and manage middleware platforms (e.g. Ensemble, Mirth Connect, Azure Integration Services, or Rhapsody). Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Troubleshoot integration failures and lead root cause analysis. Document integration architecture and data flows.
Required Qualifications 5+ years in healthcare IT integration. Hands-on experience with HL7, FHIR, interoperability standards. Proficiency with at least one integration engine (Mirth, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, etc.). Strong SQL and scripting skills (Python or JavaScript preferred).
Preferred Skills Experience with cloud-based integration (Azure, AWS). Good understanding of SDLC, networking, infrastructure, DevOps and Linux environments.
