Product Owner - IT Delivery Tools

Job Description

We re looking for a Product Owner to lead and develop the digital tools that support our IT project delivery teams. You ll shape the strategy, roadmap and performance of our project delivery platforms - which currently include Azure DevOps, Modern Requirements and our SharePoint-based Project Hub.In this role, you ll collaborate with colleagues across the organisation, from delivery teams to senior leaders, and work closely with internal specialists and external suppliers. You ll support continuous improvement, help colleagues get the most from our tools, and ensure our digital products evolve to meet changing organisational needs.

Your role will involve
  • Setting the strategic direction and roadmap for project delivery and project management tools, based on requirements from teams across the organisation.
  • Managing and prioritising product backlogs, ensuring updates, enhancements and fixes deliver clear benefits.
  • Working with technical specialists and suppliers to ensure tools are configured, supported and improved effectively.
  • Supporting, coaching and training colleagues so tools are well understood and widely adopted across IT teams.
  • Leading change activities, including communication and coordination of training during new releases or updates.
These skills are essential
  • Experience managing digital products or tools, including backlog management and prioritisation.
  • Ability to translate user and business needs into clear product requirements and roadmaps.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders in a complex or large organisation.
  • Working knowledge of project delivery methodologies (Agile and non Agile).
  • Experience supporting or administering project delivery tools such as Azure DevOps or requirements management tools.
  • Ability to coach colleagues and communicate complex information in a clear, accessible way.
