Information Technology Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled IT Engineer (End-User Support) to join our team in Somerset. The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on experience supporting end-user environments, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals. This role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-user devices (desktops, laptops, mobiles, printers, peripherals).
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and device drivers.
• Respond to and resolve IT support tickets within defined SLAs.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
• Perform hardware/software upgrades, patching, and deployments.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory and other systems.
• Conduct system audits, routine maintenance, and ensure overall system security and reliability.
• Create and maintain documentation on IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guidelines.
• Provide end-user training and guidance on IT systems and applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in IT support roles with a strong focus on end-user support.
• Strong understanding of Windows and macOS environments.
• Proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network issues.
• Experience with Active Directory , Office 365 , and other enterprise IT tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+ , Microsoft Certified Professional ) are advantageous.
