Position Available: FPGA Manager

Location: Hertfordshire

Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 (DoE) + Benefits

Experience needed: We're looking for an experienced FPGA engineer with a proven track record in delivering complex digital hardware systems. You'll combine hands-on technical expertise with leadership skills to guide and grow a high-performing FPGA team.

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an FPGA Manager to lead the design and delivery of cutting-edge FPGA solutions. You'll work closely with systems, software, and hardware teams to drive technical excellence and ensure high-performance, reliable products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of FPGA/digital design engineers
• Oversee FPGA architecture, RTL design, verification, and hardware validation
• Ensure timely delivery of FPGA projects, managing risks and resources
• Champion best practices in design methodology, IP reuse, and verification
• Collaborate with system architects and stakeholders to meet performance and reliability targets

What we need from you:

• 10+ years in FPGA/digital hardware design, with 3–5 years in a leadership role
• Strong RTL design, simulation, timing, and verification experience
• Deep understanding of high-speed interfaces, DSP, and embedded system integration
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a passion for mentoring and team development
• This role may require you at some point to go through DV clearance
