UX Manager

UX Manager - Public Sector - Glasgow Hybrid (2 days onsite) - 12 month contract - SC Clearance

I have an immediate opportunity for an experienced UX Manager to manage a multidisciplinary UX team delivering user-centred design across multiple digital services for our government client.

The role strengthens UX capability to support digital transformation so services meet public needs and government expectations. You'll set direction for UX, embed design standards and promote accessibility and inclusion across the portfolio.

Due to the nature and urgency of the role, we are looking for British Nationals who hold active SC clearance or have eligibility for SC clearance.

What we're looking for:

• Significant experience managing UX teams in complex digital environments, ideally within public sector/government organisations
• Proven delivery of large-scale digital services using user-centred design principles.
• Strong knowledge of user research, information architecture, interaction design, usability testing, prototyping and accessibility design.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and developing UX capability.
• Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to influence at senior levels.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
• Knowledge of design systems and service design principles.
• Experience with tools such as Figma, Miro, Adobe Creative Suite and Confluence.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of the Government Digital Service framework, Service Standard and Technology Code of Practice, and experience designing for diverse and vulnerable users.
