Medical Secretary to CAMHS Medics
Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a new team of Medical Secretaries to support CAMHS Medics. We have 1x FTE vacancy based at Kidderminster Health Centre.
We are looking for an experienced administrator who wishes to develop their career in a forward-thinking team, where attention to detail and gold standard patient care are at the heart of everything we do.
You will be friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills, to build great working relationships with colleagues and all stakeholders. You will have excellent IT skills and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
A typical day could include formatting letters, sending emails, booking in appointments using Outlook and Rio diaries, taking and making phone calls. You may need to set up MS Teams meetings or even attend them yourself.
If you are positive and able to work autonomously, as well as part of a team, wed love to hear from you. This role is fully office based.

Main duties of the job
To provide reliable, conscientious and comprehensive secretarial support to CAMHS Medics.
To use your skills and experience to exercise judgment and resolve problems, using initiative.
To manage electronic diaries to ensure most effective use of time.
To be able to work unsupervised but also be a great team player.
To bring a flexible and positive approach to your work.
To present a professional image and maintain the highest standards of customer care and confidentiality at all times.
To use your knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office and Teams to organise workloads, to ensure deadlines are met.
To work with a keen eye for detail to ensure all correspondence is of the highest quality.
To use knowledge and experience of Electronic Patient Records Systems to ensure all records are up to date and accurate.
To be comfortable communicating verbally and in writing to ensure effective communication with patients, parents, GPs, Consultants and external bodies.

Qualifications
- Educated to academic Level 3 (e.g. A-Level, NVQ 3, OCR/RSA 3, City & Guilds 3) in a Business Administration related subject.
- Relevant Medical Terminology Training or required to undertake within 6 months of employment.
- I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
Experience
- Significant recent Administrative/Secretarial experience (usually demonstrated by a minimum of 3 years experience).
- Supervision/management of staff.
- Minute taking experience.
- Experience using EPRS Rio.
Knowledge
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Packages including Word/Excel/Outlook, Powerpoint and Teams.
- Understanding of Medical Terminology.
- Proficiency in using EPR system Rio.
