Telecommunications Infrastructure Manager

Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Telecommunications Infrastructure Manager to join the Digital team.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead & develop the Trusts telecommunications services supporting clinical & operational teams. The role supports a complex telecommunications environment including VoIP telephony, unified communications, mobile services, call centres & telephony infrastructure.

You will work closely with Trust teams, suppliers & partners organisations to ensure services remain secure, resilient and highly available, whilst contributing to our ongoing infrastructure improvements.

The post is full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working is supported with travel across Trust sites where required. Participation in the on-call rota is required.

We are a small team delivering large-scale Digital and telecommunications projects at pace & are looking for candidates with a proven history of delivering within similar high-demand environments.

Main duties of the job

You will lead the day-to-day management, support & continuous improvement of the telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring critical communication services remain secure, resilient & highly available.

The role includes supporting telecommunications projects, telephony upgrades, unified communications, call centre technologies, mobile services, system monitoring, incident resolution & change management processes. You will work closely with Trust teams, suppliers & partner organisations to troubleshoot complex technical issues, manage technical risks & deliver projects and improvements across the Trust.

The role also supports cyber security, resilience & compliance activities, whilst ensuring telecommunications services remain cost effective, reliable & aligned to operational & clinical requirements.

The successful candidate will work independently, manage competing priorities & contribute towards service improvement initiatives within a fast-paced environment.

This role would suit an experienced telecommunications or infrastructure specialist who enjoys working within a fast-paced operational environment where service resilience, customer experience & continuous improvement are key.

You will join a highly productive infrastructure team delivering large-scale telecommunications & Digital projects across the Trust. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing complex technical environments, balancing operational support with project delivery & contributing towards the ongoing modernisation of the Trusts Digital estate.

We are looking for motivated individuals who can work independently, bring new ideas & help drive improvement across telecommunications & unified communications services. Experience within large or complex enterprise environments is essential.

The successful candidate will have a genuine passion to make a difference and understand the impact reliable communication services have on patients and frontline staff.

  • Minimum of 3 years VoIP support experience

  • Project Management (eg Prince2)
