Commercial Legal Counsel

The role:
An opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded Legal Counsel to support a broad range of business units across global operations. This is a hands-on role where the successful candidate will act as a key legal advisor on a wide variety of commercial matters, including user acquisition, IT and procurement, ad tech, publishing, and game development. The position requires sound judgement, adaptability, and a proactive approach in an environment where speed and pragmatism are essential.
Key responsibilities:
- Draft, negotiate, and close a wide range of commercial agreements across digital and technology-driven value chains, including user acquisition partnerships, advertising monetisation, ad tech arrangements, and publishing deals
- Take ownership of transactions from inception through to completion, managing timelines and stakeholder expectations
- Develop, maintain, and enhance contract templates and scalable legal playbooks
- Review and negotiate vendor, supplier, and partnership agreements
- Advise on and negotiate game development and co-development agreements, including milestone structures, intellectual property ownership, and revenue share arrangements
About you:
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales
- Approximately 3–5 years’ PQE, including at least 2 years in-house (flexible depending on experience)
- Strong commercial contracting background with proven experience negotiating complex agreements
- Comfortable working across a variety of legal disciplines, with the ability to quickly get up to speed in new areas
- Exposure to mobile gaming, mobile applications, or digital ecosystems is advantageous
