Employment Counsel

The role:
An opportunity has arisen for an Employment Lawyer to join a high-performing in-house legal team. Based in London, this role will support an international business on a broad range of employment law matters across multiple jurisdictions. You will work closely with HR and senior stakeholders, providing practical and commercial legal advice.
Key responsibilities:
- Advise on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters across the UK and internationally
- Support HR and business leaders on employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, redundancies, and terminations
- Advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions, restructures, and organisational change
- Draft, review, and update employment contracts, policies, and procedures
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions
- Manage employment disputes and liaise with external counsel where needed
- Deliver training to internal stakeholders on employment law developments and best practices
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and assess the impact on the business
About you:
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales
- 5–8 years’ PQE in employment law
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, with international experience preferred
- Experience gained in private practice and/or in-house within a commercial environment
- Commercially minded, with the ability to balance legal risk and business needs
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Interest in the technology or telecommunications sector would be beneficial
