Legal Counsel - Intellectual Property @ Tech AI Buinsess

The Role

This newly created opportunity is ideal for a 2–3 PQE Commercial Lawyer with a solid grounding in intellectual property and technology contracts. The role will be based in HQ (Maidenhead), two days a week, and will report to a senior member of the legal team, while involving close partnership with business stakeholders across sales, product, and operations.

You'll be advising on a mix of commercial, technology, and IP-related matters, supporting the company's commercial growth and innovation strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including technology licensing, SaaS, and professional services contracts.
  • Advising on intellectual property issues such as protection, licensing, and collaboration arrangements.
  • Supporting product and technology teams on commercialising IP assets and managing risk.
  • Providing pragmatic, business-focused advice to senior stakeholders.
  • Assisting with the continuous improvement of legal processes and template documents.

What we are looking for:

  • UK-qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with 2–3 years' PQE gained in a leading law firm or in-house legal team.
  • Experience in commercial and IP law, ideally within a technology, media, or professional services environment.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills with a straightforward, pragmatic approach.
  • Confident communicator who enjoys working directly with business stakeholders.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and able to balance legal risk with commercial goals.
