Control Systems Engineer

This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging projects spanning control system upgrades, greenfield developments, safety systems integration, and digital transformation initiatives within hazardous and regulated environments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop PLC/DCS-based control systems for oil & gas and energy applications
  • Develop software using:Allen-Bradley / Rockwell (Studio 5000, RSLogix) / Siemens (TIA Portal, Step 7) / Mitsubishi (GX Works)
  • Configure and develop HMI, SCADA, and operator interface systems
  • Produce Functional Design Specifications (FDS), Control Philosophies, and Test Documentation
  • Support SIL-rated and safety-related system design where required
  • Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing)

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in control systems engineering within oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, or energy industries
  • Strong PLC programming experience (Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi platforms)
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols including EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, and Profibus
  • Understanding of control philosophies, cause & effect matrices, and alarm management
  • Knowledge of industrial safety systems and standards (IEC 61508 / 61511 advantageous)
  • Experience working in regulated or hazardous environments (ATEX / COMAH desirable)
