Project Engineer

About this position:

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong Electrical Engineering background to support projects at a leading manufacturing facility in Slough. The successful candidate will have experience within the Food, FMCG, Manufacturing, or Automation sectors and be confident managing projects within a live production environment. A strong understanding of Control Systems and proven experience working with electrical and automation systems is essential.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the delivery of electrical and automation projects from start to finish.
• Coordinate and oversee contractors and subcontractors on-site.
• Act as the main point of contact for project stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
• Support installation, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Monitor project progress and resolve any technical or delivery issues.
• Provide technical input and support around Control Systems and automation.
• Ensure compliance with site health & safety standards.

Experience Required:

• Electrical Engineering background with relevant qualifications.
• Previous Project Engineering experience within Food, FMCG, Manufacturing, or Automation environments.
• Strong understanding of Control Systems, with a good level of hands-on or project-based experience.
• Proven experience managing contractors on industrial sites.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience delivering electrical, controls, or automation projects.
• Good understanding of industrial electrical systems, Control Systems, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
