Robot Service Engineer

About this position:

We are currently recruiting for Robot Service Engineers to support a cutting-edge robotics environment, working with advanced robotic systems within a highly innovative technology setting.
The role will be working on either a morning or evening shift, with a total working week of 37.5 hours. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Robotics or Mechatronics Engineer to work hands-on with complex robotic technology while supporting the reliability and performance of the systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on technical support, troubleshooting and maintenance of robotic systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, software and system-level faults.
  • Support the integration, testing and commissioning of robotic systems.
  • Troubleshoot robotics hardware, sensors, actuators and associated control systems.
  • Work with Linux-based systems and troubleshoot network/connectivity issues.
  • Configure and troubleshoot IP addresses, network connections and communications.
  • Develop, modify and troubleshoot software used within robotic systems.
  • Work with ROS and Python for robotics development and troubleshooting.
  • Analyse system logs and technical data to identify and resolve faults.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and contribute to improving system reliability.
  • Document technical issues, repairs and system changes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and software teams to resolve complex technical issues.


Experience Required:

  • Professional background in Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Strong electrical and systems engineering knowledge.
  • Practical experience working with robotic systems.
  • Good understanding of Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with industrial or computer networking, including IP configuration.
  • Software development/programming experience, ideally using Python.
  • Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System).
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working hands-on with advanced robotic technology.
  • Willingness to work either morning or evening shifts.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
