Salesforce Architect
Key Responsibilities
- Lead independent delivery assurance by acting as the Firm's central counterpart between technical delivery teams and business specialists, ensuring clear risk visibility and expert challenge.
- Ensure Salesforce implementation aligns with cloud SaaS best practices, emphasizing standardized, upgrade-safe architecture, configuration-first principles, and sustainable design decisions.
- Challenge and collaborate with the implementation partner on scope, delivery approaches, and ensuring reusable, well-documented design artifacts.
- Govern configuration versus customization decisions, protecting platform upgradeability and scalability aligned to Salesforce's roadmap.
- Oversee business readiness and adoption, supporting the translation of business requirements into platform-appropriate outcomes and enabling sustainable internal Salesforce capabilities.
- Manage the oversight of data readiness, migration strategy, and analytics, ensuring data ownership and quality are clearly defined and maintained.
- Maintain the CRM risk register, escalate critical risks to executive sponsors, and provide clear options and trade-offs to steer delivery decisions.
- Gate emerging technologies such as AI adoption in alignment with policy, maturity, and value principles while ensuring performance, security, and compliance readiness.
- Support end-to-end delivery assurance without direct project management, focusing on surfacing delivery risks early and confirming Legacy CRM decommissioning plans.
- Act as the guardian of cloud SaaS integrity throughout the program, ensuring architectural choices are loosely coupled, API-led, and consistent with Salesforce platform capabilities.
Experience & Skills Required
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale Salesforce CRM implementations end-to-end.
- Deep understanding of cloud SaaS delivery models and software development life cycle discipline.
- Experience in challenging and managing top-tier implementation partners.
- Strong background in financial services, asset management, or regulated industries.
- Ability to bridge business, technology, and commercial perspectives effectively.
Desirable:
- Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, complex data migrations, AI/analytics integration, and Salesforce certifications.
