User Experience Designer

We are seeking a Senior UX Designer to lead and drive key components of our KYC (Know Your Customer) program modernization initiative. This role focuses on enhancing customer-facing experiences, simplifying processes, and improving user engagement across the bank (excluding Personal Banking). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UX design, a passion for solving complex problems, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead KYC Modernization Efforts: Own and drive critical components of the KYC program modernization, including form simplification, client outreach features, and customer-facing portal enhancements.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with research teams, stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to brainstorm, co-create, and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Design and Prototyping: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma while adhering to the established Design System.
  • User-Centered Design: Ensure designs follow UX best practices, leveraging research and testing to inform and validate design decisions.
  • Challenge the Status Quo: Confidently identify and address root causes of design challenges to ensure optimal outcomes for users.
  • Accessibility Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with ADA/WCAG standards for accessibility.
  • Deliver High-Quality Assets: Provide detailed design assets and clear guidance to engineering teams, ensuring seamless implementation and regular UX review checkpoints.
  • Mentorship and Training: Assist and train new UX team members, contributing to the broader UX community of practice.
  • Stay Updated: Keep up to date with the latest UX practices, tools, and innovations to continuously improve the design process.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage risks to ensure timely delivery of projects, escalating issues when necessary.

Requirements

Experience:

  • 7–8 years of experience as a UX Designer.
  • Candidates with 5+ years of experience must demonstrate strong ownership and a deep understanding of the design landscape.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with design systems.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG).

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to confidently challenge existing processes and propose innovative solutions.
  • Positive and constructive attitude towards feedback.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Leadership:

  • Proven ability to take ownership of projects and deliver high-quality results.
  • Experience mentoring and training team members is a plus.
