Marketing Logistics Assistant

This is a one-year fixed term internship with the potential of becoming a permanent contract

We are looking for someone to support with the logistics & admin of a busy marketing department.

Supporting the preparation and delivery of company events including regional roadshows, seminars and large-scale trade exhibitions from start through to completion, including administration, physical event logistics, equipment handling and basic product preparation/testing (training provided).

Responsibilities:

  • Primarily a logistical role, supporting the marketing team with the preparation and delivery of company events including regional roadshows, seminars and large-scale trade exhibitions.
  • The role has a strong focus on manual & physical event preparation, including managing marketing stock, organising equipment, preparing demonstration products and supporting event logistics. Training will be provided for product handling and testing.
  • A full UK driving licence is required to enable reliable travel to the office and events. There may also be opportunities to drive the company demonstration vehicle to events if the candidate is comfortable doing so.

Key Tasks Involve:

Event Equipment, Stock & Logistics

  1. Product stock taking and management: receiving, logging, labelling and organising marketing and demonstration products.
  2. Basic product testing of demonstration equipment prior to events (training provided).
  3. Preparing event materials including literature and giveaways.

The above work involves:

  • Ordering / prepacking promotion items for events.
  • Moving marketing event pods/furniture around the office (health & safety training provided).
  • Lifting boxes and packing pallets.
  • Moving pallets with manual trucks.
  • Product checking and scanning.

Marketing & Administrative Support

  1. Assisting with communications between the marketing department, internal teams and external suppliers using email and Microsoft Outlook invitations.
  2. Liaising with the finance department to ensure supplier invoices are processed.
  3. Booking team meals and arranging hotel reservations
  4. Attending one national and one roadshow event to assist with set up each requiring several days offsite (accommodation provided)

Knowledge and Skills

  • IT skills including Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Regular written and verbal communication skills
  • Well organised with excellent planning skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
