Due to continued growth, we are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our technical team and help deliver infrastructure support, cloud services and project work across a diverse client base.

This is an excellent opportunity for a capable engineer looking to expand their experience across Microsoft technologies, cloud services, networking and cybersecurity within a varied MSP environment.

The Role

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining and improving client infrastructure environments while assisting with the delivery of cloud and infrastructure projects.

You will work closely with our senior engineering team to deliver high-quality solutions and ensure client systems remain secure, reliable and well maintained.

The role combines project delivery, infrastructure administration and technical support, offering exposure to a broad range of technologies and business sectors.

This is a hands-on technical position suited to someone who enjoys solving problems, implementing solutions and developing their technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Support

  • Support and maintain Windows Server environments.
  • Administer Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Manage and support Microsoft 365 services.
  • Support Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.
  • Administer Entra ID and Microsoft Intune environments.
  • Maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Support virtualisation platforms.
  • Monitor and maintain business-critical infrastructure systems.
  • Support line-of-business applications and associated infrastructure.
  • Maintain system documentation and configuration records.

Cloud Services

  • Support Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Assist with Azure migrations and infrastructure modernisation projects.
  • Deploy and maintain Azure virtual machines and cloud services.
  • Assist with hybrid cloud deployments.
  • Support Microsoft 365 tenant implementations and migrations.

Networking

  • Support network infrastructures including switching, wireless, SD-WAN and site-to-site connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot network, VPN and internet connectivity issues.
  • Support UniFi, Omada and Peplink environments.
  • Maintain network documentation and configuration records.
  • Assist with network upgrades and standardisation projects.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement security best practices across client environments.
  • Support Conditional Access and MFA deployments.
  • Assist with vulnerability remediation activities.
  • Support Keeper Security password management environments.
  • Help improve security standards across managed environments.
  • Assist with Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001 related activities.
  • Support backup, disaster recovery and business continuity processes.

Projects

  • Assist with infrastructure and cloud projects.
  • Deliver project tasks within agreed timescales.
  • Support server upgrades, migrations and deployments.
  • Produce technical documentation and implementation records.
  • Participate in project planning and handovers.
  • Support testing and validation activities.

Essential Skills & Experience
