Senior Product Manager
About Product at Holland & Barrett
We're on an ambitious journey to transform how we use data and technology to power the health and wellness experience for our customers. Product Information Management (PIM) and Master Data are central to that ambition. Accurate, trusted, and accessible data is the backbone of our supply chain, digital commerce, customer experience, and regulatory compliance.
We are seeking a highly technical and experienced Senior Product Manager (SPM) to lead our PIM product area within the Master Data vertical. This is a permanent full-time contract position, with a strong preference for candidates based in the UK who can work in a hybrid model (two days a week in either our London Hub or Nuneaton office). The role involves owning the PIM strategy and delivery, influencing cross-functional teams, and ensuring our product data is fit for future growth.
The Role
As a Senior Product Manager at H&B, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of the PIM product area within the Master Data vertical. You'll be accountable for ensuring that product information across H&B is complete, compliant, and consistent across all channels and systems.
You will have a significant opportunity to impact both customer and colleague experience, from how our customers see products on digital shelves, to how our colleagues manage regulatory compliance and supply chain processes. You will anticipate business needs, provide escalation management, make trade-offs, and balance customer, commercial, and compliance requirements against technical constraints.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of the PIM product area – from discovery to delivery to optimisation.
- Develop and maintain a compelling vision, strategy, roadmap, and backlog for PIM, aligned with wider Master Data and business goals.
- Lead discovery work using recognised frameworks (e.g., Double Diamond, Lean Discovery), ensuring data-driven decisions and first-class product documentation.
- Define and track OKRs and KPIs, ensuring initiatives deliver measurable value across compliance, efficiency, and customer experience.
- Champion data governance and quality standards, embedding compliance into all PIM solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering, data, supply chain, commercial, and digital teams to deliver scalable and integrated solutions.
- Supports the Product Lead – Master Data, representing the vertical in leadership and cross-functional forums and contributing to the wider Master Data strategy
- Build a strong working relationship with business stakeholders, proactively communicating, creating transparency, alignment and fostering a culture of trust and collaboration.
- Mentor and coach junior Product Managers, sharing product craft expertise and best practices.
Skills and experience
- Proven experience as a Product Manager or Senior Product Manager in Master Data Management, FMCG, Supply Chain, or Retail.
- Expertise in Product Information Management (PIM), Master Data Management (MDM), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or equivalent product data systems.
- Strong knowledge and technical understanding of data governance, taxonomy, and data quality principles.
- Experience integrating PIM/MDM solutions with ERP, eCommerce, and digital platforms.
- Strong awareness of emerging AI trends and the ability to apply them pragmatically to enhance product data capabilities and customer value
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to challenge assumptions to focus on solving the right problems.
- Proficiency with agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Miro, Confluence).
- Experience in both B2B and B2C environments is desirable.
